I am a big supporter of Queer RVA (Out RVA) / RVA Magazine, and back in Dec 2020 they featured me in a short profile bio about what I loved about Richmond. While some things have changed, like my favorite places to eat (since Tio Pablo closed), i stand by my answers still about how amazing this growing and supportive city has become and how proud I am of it celebrating the LGBTQ+ community.
Here is the original story:
Pronouns: He/Him/His
What makes Richmond a great place to be out?: Growing and supportive diverse community
What’s your favorite thing to do in the Richmond Region?: River Tubing - The James RIver is the center of our city - connects us all!
What do you do here?: Realtor at River Fox Realty
How would you describe our LGBTQ community? Growing, Evolving Diverse, Progressive
What would you tell somebody who has never been to Richmond before?: We are on turbo speed! The city is changing the landscape and empowering so many!
What's your favorite store?: Mongrel - I can spend all day looking at the cards that make me laugh!
What's your favorite neighborhood?: Stratford Hills - Close to the city, feels like the country - walking distance to the river - Community is welcoming to all.
What's your favorite local restaurant and why?: Tio Pablo - hands down the best Mexican in Richmond! Staff is welcoming to all.
Anything else you would like to add?: Over the years I have watched this city evolve - it's a beautiful process and hoping we see continued growth in our community.
